Health and Safety Programmes
A number of health and safety video programmes have been created for major companies by Blow by Blow Productions.
Typically, it is compulsory for contractors (and new employees) to view the health and safety site induction video hron arrival at the factory gate. Signing that one has seen it is also compulsory. The programme is part of the company’s defence should a contractor, having been warned of certain actions in the video, fail to adhere to the instructions and cause an accident.
The scripting, editing, and production of the site induction video has to be fine-tuned to offer precise advice for many on-site operations. The production often develops through several rehearsal versions and is viewed by various levels of management before the programme is issued.
Different kinds of induction programme
One such induction programme introduced Care Principles, a private supplier of care services for those with special educational needs, to construction staff building a new care centre site for the company.
The programme was devised to press home messages about Quality. It was vital that the buildings themselves provided a secure but high quality environment to facilitate the caring and treatment processes.
In the case of the Lincoln Co-op Society, induction training was delivered by video to new staff members at their own homes for private study. The material was a general introduction to the Co-operative movement, its history, and principles, and accompanied written induction material from the Society.
