About Blow by Blow Productions

Blow By Blow was founded in 1988 when Producer-Director Andrew Blow left Yorkshire TV (now ITV Yorkshire). Since 1990 Blow By Blow has been part of a family of multi skilled media associates based in Lincoln and Doncaster UK.

Members of the team can work single handed -- or call in the associates to help on more complex projects.

This experienced group has created a vast range of productions for a wide variety of customers and between them won six media awards. (See Meet theTeam)

An archive of more than 7,000 tapes and digital media backups, containing hundreds of thousands of video shots, is available to support new projects.

Introducing Andrew Blow……

Andrew can be described as a Media Strategist, Writer, Producer, Director, Cameraman, Editor and Voice over artist - a media all-rounder with a background in newspapers, radio and broadcast TV. He is a Master Member of the Institute of Videography.

Blow By Blow Productions was set up twenty years ago when Andrew left Yorkshire TV.

Before starting Blow By Blow, Andrew was a BBC Local Radio freelance, a London Broadcasting radio journalist and Yorkshire TV reporter and News Editor. Before then he was a newspaper journalist.

Skills Specialism

Andrew’s skills include the blue sky thinking at the beginning of a project, proposals, treatments, research, scriptwriting, camerawork, editing, voice-overs, DVD authoring, encoding for Internet etc

He says:”I see myself as an all-rounder operating in the full knowledge that associates can bring a greater level of sophistication in some areas of the media skill spectrum.

I don’t hesitate to call in the associates if the job requires it.”
